Stone Conservation
Where historically important buildings have been neglected leading to deterioration of brick and stonework, it is often necessary to undertake insitu repairs to avoid major disturbance to adjacent features. Carefully carried out by either stone indentation or restoration mortar, isolated areas of mouldings, cornice or ashlar can be repaired or replaced.

slipping because of nail fatigue, we can salvage all good
quality slates, making up numbers with similar slates.
This is a good alternative, especially if the property is a listed building.
A range of slate under felts are available from F1 bitumen reinforced to Tyvek breathable felt which aids ventilation and prevents timber deterioration.

Lime Pointing
M.S.P have pointing specialists which have been trained in all aspect of lime mortars, Carrying out works at many Historic & Listed buildings.
It is not uncommon for M.S.P. to match the new pointing by sending a sample to be analysed, When this comes back we can provide the exact mortar mix which was used on the original build.
